the remote start is turning on everything

So my dad's Lincoln is doing this weird thing with the remote start from his phone. He just started using the Lincoln Way app for the first time
He always makes sure everything's off when he shuts the car down, like no AC, no heated seats, no heated steering wheel, nothing.

But when he uses the remote start, by the time he gets in, the heated steering wheel and seats are both magically on!
It's happened the last few times, and he's quite annoyed. Sounds like a glitch to me.

Anyone else's car doing this? Got any solutions, or is this a dealer trip waiting to happen?

My cousin had a similar issue with her Aviator. It turns out it's all about the Remote Start climate settings in the car's menu. Just head over to Settings → Vehicle → Remote Start → Climate Control and switch the seats and steering wheel to Off. Some Lincoln models automatically activate those features when it's cold outside. There's no glitch, they're just tucked away in the settings. It's an easy fix

Yeah, those automatic climate settings can be real tricksters. Tweak them in the Remote Start spot, and that should sort things out

If the heated seats and wheel keep turning on with remote start even when they're off at shutdown, could this be Lincoln quietly enabling a "cold weather" comfort setting without clearly telling owners?
